Katherine Farquahar

DAUGHTER IN LAW OF HORATIO FITZROY

Wife of Sir Almeric FitzRoy, Katherine Farquahar was the daughter of Sir Henry Thomas Farquahar, 4th Baronet, and the Hon Alice Bland, and granddaughter of Sir Walter Rockliff Farquahar, 3rd Baronet, and Lady Mary Octavia (daughter of the 6th Duke of Beaufort), of Polesden Lacy (now a National Trust property). She was also granddaughter of a former Speaker of the House of Commons, who subsequently became Viscount Hampden. She married Almeric FitzRoy in 1887 and had a son and a daughter, Yvonne.
