Stone Curlew Note 3
UK Biodiversity Action Plan (1994)
This plan was drawn up under the terms of the Rio Convention. To protect and encourage biodiversity habitats have to be managed and some rare species, like the Stone Curlew must have champions. The RSPB acts as champion for Stone Curlews, but well-known companies like Tescos can also act as champions for a particular species.
