World War 1 Resources
The links below are to resources selected from the Society's Yateley History Project digital archive. The Society wishes to encourage anyone to contact us who finds the name of their ancestor or family in these documents:
- Preparations have begun
- Our researchers are keen to hear from anyone who had relations living in Yateley during the war years 1914–1918 whether or not they fought in WW1
- If you have photographs, letters, diaries, etc which show people’s thoughts and experiences and are willing to share them we would love to hear from you and see them.
- Our interests are not confined to the military aspects of the War – we are interested in anything which shows what life was like in Yateley between 1914 and 1918 – church, school, clubs, sports, work, farming, shops, clothes, home life, etc.
At a meeting of the Exhibition Subcommittee on 23 Sep 2013 four research themes were adopted. The headings to pages of resources have therefore now been rearranged under these four headings.
