When JEAN McILWAINE, the Archivist of St Peter's Church heard about the Study of Yateley adult education course, she went up to the school to register. She met Luath Grant Ferguson, who told her,

"I've got news for you, you're one of the lecturers!"

Jean's mother descends from a line of Yateley families, hence Jean's interest in forming a group to study Yateley families. Her ancestors feature on this website as a special case study
